The Team

The Midas team is comprised of game industry veterans with an extensive portfolio of work spanning such well known companies as Blizzard, Disney, Pixar, DeNA, Ubisoft, Zynga, and Gameloft. Collectively the games we’ve worked on span every platform and genre, and include well known IP such as World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Star Wars, Transformers, Marvel, Wall-E, Toy Story 3, and Brave.

Kevin He

Founder and CEO

Kevin is the former CTO of Disney’s mid-core mobile game studio, technical director of ROBLOX, and senior engine developer of World of Warcraft at Blizzard. Previously, he was a technical lead at Airespace (now Cisco Systems). He has 16 years of engineering and management experience with multiple AAA titles shipped including World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Star Wars Commander and ROBLOX.

He has a passion for all things physics, and seeks to drive the gaming and interactive entertainment industry to new heights using physics.

Ethan Einhorn

Marketing and Publishing Director

Ethan is a 12 year veteran and "legend" of SEGA, and has worn many hats from PR manager to producer, creative director, director of developer relations, director of online operations, and director of live operations. He excels at developing and executing forward-thinking strategies that have allowed the company to adapt to dramatic shifts in the marketplace. Ethan has worked closely with Apple to bring Super Monkey Ball to #1 at the Apple App Store launch. Starting in 2009 he has architected SEGA's digital roadmap and brand business strategy, especially in the mobile sphere.

As the Director of Marketing at Sidekick VR, he took his first steps into VR and delivered a nearly 100x increase in downloads and revenue for the game Protocol Zero for the Gear VR.

Jiayi Chong

Technical Director

Jiayi worked at Pixar Animation Studios as a Technical Director on feature films for 9 years from 2006 to 2015. He worked on major films such as Toy Story 3, Wall-E, UP, Brave, and Monsters University.

His work at Pixar mainly involved developing physics simulation tools and engines for the films. The tools include simulations for rigid body dynamics, deformable solids, cloth, hair, fluid dynamics and skin simulation tools. Several of the technologies he developed have resulted in numerous Siggraph Talks, as well as software technology patents.

Libin Liu

Principal Scientist

Dr. Liu is a distinguished researcher in character animation, physics-based simulation, motion control, and related areas such as optimal control, reinforcement learning, and deep learning. He has published many defining works on realizing various agile human motions on simulated characters, as well as the simulation of deformable objects and soft characters.

Dr. Liu has published 6 papers at Siggraph and 1 paper at Eurographics, and had worked at Disney Research, the Imager Laboratory at the University of British Columbia, and the Internet Graphics Group at Microsoft Research Asia.

Weihua Jin

Engineering Director

Weihua Jin is a 3D rendering specialist who has worked on games such as MechWarrior Online, Duke Nukem Forever, Bass Pro Shop, and Days of Thunder. He worked at Piranha Games and Ubisoft as a rendering, physics, and engine engineer. He has cross-platform experience working on console, PC, and mobile titles.

Forrest Schehl

Art Director

Forrest has created assets for a wide range of web and mobile platforms as a 2D and 3D artist. As an art director for DeNA, Zynga, and Punch Entertainment, he has lead teams to create beautiful games that have brought surprise and delight to their user bases. He has been working in the games industry for over a decade, and has shipped over 15 titles, several of which were for Marvel and Hasbro.
